I LOVE this fruit: it’s a mix of raisins, glace cherries, candied peel, cranberries and apricots - all soaked in brandy. Whenever I use it I can’t resist eating a little on its own - it’s moist, fruity and delicious and makes the most fabulous cakes and puddings (see my recipe for a simple fruit cake combining it with one of my sponge mixes).
